For Master of Arts in Education Program
Applicants must submit the following materials to the Director of Admissions to be considered for admission:
1 A completed online Application for Admission form;
2 Application fee of $50 (non-refundable);
3 Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree or international equivalent from an approved college or university with at least a 2.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale);
4 Official transcripts from all previous colleges or universities attended sent directly to UUC;
5 Two letters of recommendation;
6 A personal statement of at least 250 words describing the student’s motivations for further study at UUC;
7 Applicants whose first language is not English must submit a TOEFL with a 530 minimum score (paper-based) or 197 (computer-based) or 71 (internet-based).
For Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Management Program
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for admission to the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Management degree program:
· Degrees: Applicants must possess at least a master’s degree from an institution of higher education or the international equivalent and have demonstrated superior academic performance in the completion of their master’s degree.
· Resume: Each applicant must submit a resume or biographical statement demonstrating disposition to education.
· Leadership: Applicants must have demonstrated superior academic performance in the completion of their master’s degrees and possess outstanding leadership qualities.
· Recommendations: Each applicant must provide two written confidential recommendations from persons who can attest to the applicant’s academic and professional abilities and proven accomplishments in education.
· Transcripts: Official transcripts must be submitted from all institutions of higher education attended by the candidate.
· Goal statement Essay: Applicants must submit an academic and professional goal statement essay.
· International students are also required to have a 550 score (paper-based) or 213 (computer-based) or 80 (internet-based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
Upon receipt and review of all documentation, the candidate will be considered for final admissions. Final admissions decisions will be made by the program director and the Doctoral Admissions Committee.
